• Tom reports to UW-Madison’s Deputy CIO as DoIT’s Sr. ERP Strategist. He has over 30 years experience in information technology management. His IT experience includes management positions in application development, systems engineering, and network services, plus previous director roles at UW-System's Office of Information Systems, UW-Madison's Strategic Consulting Group, and its Application Development & Integration department. He also served as Assistant Vice Chancellor-Administration for Student Affairs at UW-Madison. In that role he had direct responsibility for the division's Integrated Student Information System, divisional financial management and reporting, human resources coordination, and facilities.
  
  He has published articles in various journals and has been a presenter dozens of times at regional, national, and international conferences. He currently serves as the executive adviser to the OHUG Board of Directors. He previously served for 2 years as President of the Higher Education User's Group (HEUG), and was a member of the HEUG Board of Directors for 10 years.
  
  His areas of interest include the renewal of administrative systems, improved access to administrative self-service, and the greater availability of data to planners and decision makers.
