Track: Human Resources & Analytics

Session Number: 17265
Date: Wed, Jun 7th, 2017
Time: 3:15 PM - 4:15 PM
Room: Salon 7

Description:

Abstract:
To stay on a supported version of PeopleSoft HCM, Translink executives approved a US $1.1 million technical upgrade to version 9.2. They assumed it would result in minor improvements to their necessary but un-loved PeopleSoft HR/pay system. During the first steering committee meeting the project team gave a demo of the new Fluid UI (User Interface) and described the risks associated with deployment. The project sponsor insisted on including Fluid UI in scope. Ten months later it’s clear the decision to include Fluid UI was the right decision.
