3 assets for optimizing Oracle HCM Journeys

Oracle Journeys empowers you to help employees. It gives them the personalized information and tools they need to navigate unfamiliar work and life events—like transferring to a new role or adding a baby to the family. It uses personalization to give employees the information they need to make informed decisions. And its guided workflows move employees through non-routine processes one step at a time. Our customers are already using Oracle Journeys for a wide variety of tasks like employee onboarding, transfers, return to office, financial wellness activities, medical certifications, and others specific to their industry or company. Oracle Journeys is part of your Oracle Core HR subscription and requires no additional license fees.

It's ready to go, and you can begin with these three easy steps:

1. Learn about Oracle Journeys fundamentals

To get a solid understanding of Oracle Journeys, listen to the Nemours Foundation tell its story on Embark on Oracle Journeys. As part of its adoption of Release 21D, Nemours began its rollout with Preboarding, then expanded to Payroll Onboarding, and plans on rolling out Telecommuting, Termination/Resignation, and Conflict of Interest. You’ll hear about proven best practices for evaluating, documenting, and testing new Journeys. You’ll also learn about the critical importance of proactively communicating with employees. And you'll benefit from an extensive Q&A with other HCM customers.

2. Use these assets to get started

We’ve launched the HCM Resource Center to help you make the most of Oracle HCM solutions, including Oracle Journeys. It includes:

  • Journeys Quick Start Guide: This covers the Journeys Launchpad, Journeys Creator, and Journeys Boosters, and provides straightforward guidance on configuration.
  • Quick Guide: Journeys—Contextual and Guided Journeys: This links to a spreadsheet listing the quick actions and Transaction Design Studio (TDS) actions that are enabled for Contextual and Guided Journeys respectively in Oracle Cloud HCM.
  • Reporting Your Journeys: You'll find a series of sample reports created by Oracle BI and HCM Product Management. You can copy the setup for this report and add it to your Oracle HCM Cloud Service environment.

We also suggest visiting the Oracle Journeys forum on Oracle Cloud Customer Connect. It’s a good resource for understanding what's worked for other customers and the many, creative uses of Oracle Journeys.

3. Connect with experts

There was a recent webinar featuring our guru, Floyd Teeter, senior director, HCM Cloud Services. Floyd shared guidance on getting started and answered questions on implementing, administering, and using Oracle Journeys. A replay of the event is available here: HCM—Embark On Journeys Office Hours (14-Oct-22).

Wrapping up

If you’re not already using Oracle Journeys, you now have the resources to get going. Join us on the Oracle Journeys forum!
