PresidentPresident's Message: Happy New Year from OHUG

Dear OHUG Members,

Happy New Year! I hope you and your families enjoyed a healthy and happy holiday season. With 2013 already underway, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your continued dedication and participation in OHUG. We appreciate our members for the breadth of knowledge and experience they bring to the organization.

Last year was a strong year for OHUG. We held another successful annual conference in Las Vegas with more Oracle HCM users and experts in attendance, launched a new website and continued to move our organization forward with the creation of the executive board and partnership with a new association management company—SmithBucklin. I am looking forward to continuing to build on these successes in 2013. READ MORE.

OHUG Board Members Represent Organization at the 2013 Oracle IOUC User Group Summit
Thirteen OHUG board members and support staff represented OHUG at the recent 2013 Oracle IOUC User Group Summit. The conference had more than 100 attendees representing user groups in North America, Latin America, Europe Middle East Africa and Asia Pacific. Attendees participated in 10 HR breakout sessions, which focused on roadmaps, the future and support for E-business, People Soft HCM, Fusion and Taleo product lines, and mixing/matching of the Oracle HCM assets.

This year’s event expanded to include new tracks focused on HCM and customer experience. The summit provided an environment for attendees to participate in the Oracle Usability Lab Tours. There were many opportunities to network and share best practices with other user group leaders, including Taleo leaders (who were new to the summit), during “unconference” sharing sessions and networking receptions. OHUG Executive Vice President Ann Hansen synopsized the event with her observation that “The HCM track is impressive...the best HCM content at the summit to date.”

OHUG Releases Information About the New Taleo-PeopleSoft Integration SIG
OHUG is pleased to announce the addition of the Taleo-PeopleSoft Integration Special Interest Group (SIG). The primary purpose of the SIG is to provide a forum for Oracle customers and Oracle Product Management to share knowledge and collaborate on Oracle’s vision and emerging roadmap specific to the integration of Taleo and PeopleSoft HCM.
The SIG was initiated by Deepak Rammohan and Tracy Martin, senior director, Oracle HCM product strategy and is open to all members of OHUG. It will be best suited for functional and/or technical clients who are live, or planning to be live, on both Taleo (version 10 or above) and PeopleSoft HCM (version 9.0 or above).
The SIG will provide frequent and relevant updates directly from Oracle to ensure our members are aware of the latest product direction. Leaders within the SIG recognize that effective decision making within your company can only take place if you are kept informed. The facilitated product focus groups requested by Oracle will ensure our members have an opportunity to express their business needs. These focus groups are attended by Oracle product strategists, management and development.
Oracle truly wants to hear what you—the customer—has to say. The best practices webinars assist members in getting the most out of their Oracle HCM investment. During these customer-driven sessions, attendees will have an opportunity to hear success stories from your peers. SIG leaders are Nidhi Paul and Ann Hansen. Join this SIG and let your company’s voice be heard by Oracle. For more information, visit the Taleo-PeopleSoft Integration SIG webpage or email taleo-ps.sig@ohug.org.

Oracle Customer Advisory Panel: Your Voice is Needed

As a member of the Oracle Customer Advisory Panel program, you will be invited to participate in very short, highly targeted web-based surveys no more than once a month. Each invitation will describe the study topic, and you can decide to participate as frequently as you want. In return, Oracle will provide valid customers with invitation-only access to Oracle's Customer Connect community, the premier place to network with other customers and view results from recent customer panels.
