Boy Scouts of America (BSA) depends on its volunteers. For years the BSA has been training volunteers face to face. With the addition of the BSA Learn Center, the Boy Scouts are leveraging a blended learning architecture of online courses and virtual instructor led training, resulting in engaging and relevant learning experiences. The primary objective of the BSA Learn Center is to provide our volunteers and employees with the content they need, when they need it, resulting in a quality Scouting program for youth.This session will share how Scouting University has made online training available to over a million volunteers and employees since the launch of the BSA Learn Center in September of 2015. We will explore the challenges, successes, and lessons learned in design, development, implementation and our path to continued exponential growth.
